Book summary:
The book "Sustainable tourism in the Mediterranean. Guide for local management" proposes different ways of applying specific aspects of sustainable development in the local management of tourism, in order to correct or at least attenuate the problems that, directly or indirectly, have caused the degradation of the Mediterranean coastline. It starts with a brief analysis of the problems associated with each of the subjects dealt with, including resources, the economy, biodiversity, environmental education and citizen participation, in order to propose some general management recommendations, as well as referring to a specific example of an action carried out in this field in the Mediterranean area.
